Job opening for a Mechanical Development Engineer

Zaiput is currently seeking candidates to apply for a full-time Mechanical Development Engineer position to play an important role in the development of a new product line.

Position Description:
Zaiput’s current and forthcoming products cover a wide range of applications, from laboratory scale to production units. In this context, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide substantial contribution to our product design and R&D efforts. The responsibilities of the job will include participating in brainstorming, design, building and testing to continually improve our current devices, generate prototypes for products under development and launch new products. The work involved in this project is cutting-edge and requires a highly skilled, creative individual possessing strong applied design capabilities. While the products will be the result of teamwork, because of the required multidisciplinary approach, the mechanical engineer will have a key role in the design of the mechanical and fluidic components of the systems. Importantly, the multidisciplinary nature of Zaiput’ s work requires the teams to keep tight internal interaction and have excellent communication.
The variety of responsibilities and broadness of the tasks makes this position an exciting professional opportunity for a very motivated, driven engineer. Desired skills and experience:
• BSME or MSME from accredited university
• 2-4 years of experience in engineering design, preferably in a smaller team environment.
• Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility in undertaking and participating to different tasks and activities.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team-environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional manner.
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and present technical details.
• Excellent task management and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Ability to travel on occasions internationally to assist on customer installs
• Experience programming CNC milling centers a valuable plus
Employment: This is a full-time position on site; the compensation package depends on qualifications and includes full benefits.
